Hard copies of these forms can be picked up and turned in at the Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry, 416 E. Main, during its regular hours: Thursday-Saturday, 10-5, and Sunday, 11-3.

 Cardboard Card Show

Create a cardboard car and enter it in the contest, then “drive” it in the Parade at 3:00.

Your car, the registration form and the Release and Indemnification form must be at the corner of Main & Broadway, the empty lot, by 1:00 for Registration and check in. Judging will take place at 2:00 and prizes awarded at that time. Each category will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons, with 1st place trophies.

Categories and Entry Rules:

Mini Motors (0 –4 years) – this category is for the kids who’s parents built the car with little or no help
from the child.

Kid Creations (5 –10 years) – this is a KIDS only category… Participants must create their own cars with little assistance from adults. The kids may have their parents help, but they have to do the majority of the building.

Tween Dreams (11-15 years) – this is the tween category… participants must create their own cars on their own, with very little help from their parents.

Adult (16+ years) – this category is for 16 and above, the participants must build their cars by themselves with no help from the parents.

Entries will be judged on overall creativity and originality as well as interior and exterior design. NOTE: All entries must allow for the driver to actually fit into the car and walk with it.

Horseshoe Tournament

This will be a double elimination tournament. It will be a singles tournament. Registration starts at 10:00 with the tournament starting at 10:30.  The Entry Fee is $20 per person. The winner will receive half of the entry fees and a trophy, 2nd place will receive a trophy. Bring the form above, filled out to Registration to be signed up.


We would love to have you or your organization in our Founder’s Day parade. Please fill out the form above and the Release and Indemnification form and mail it in. Deadline is May 4. Entries accepted for float, band, horse/animal, car/truck, ATV, bikes, etc. The day of the Parade, line up will be listed on the Locust Grove Chamber Facebook page.


We encourage all types of vendors, including food, entertainment, retail, churches, organizations, etc. to participate in Founder’s Day. The entry deadline is Tuesday, May 4th, and both the registration form and release form above must be submitted, along with payment. You may pay online with the PayPal button, but forms must still be sent in. The Founder’s Day Committee reserves the right to accept or deny any application.


This is a new event that we are bringing to Founder’s Day, and hope to continue every year with this. We feel this will be fun and to be acknowledged with these titles, would be great for the participants. How this works: Each participant will sell tickets, $1 each or 6 for $5. These tickets will be for prizes, that we will discuss at the Sign in meeting on Friday, April 9th at 5:30 at the Chamber Office. The tickets will be handed out at this time. The one who sells the most tickets in each category will win that title. We will meet back at the Chamber office on Thursday, May 6th   at 5:30 to turn in all money, this is a strict deadline date. We will then announce the winners on the Chamber Facebook page on Friday, May 7th at 5:00. Each winner will receive their prizes on Founder’s Day at 1:00 at the Chamber office. Each winner will be assigned a car to be driven in through the parade. They will also be in the Christmas parade this year. The winners of the ticket drawings will be announced at 1:30.

Categories: Princess (girls ages 6-12), Queen (girls ages 13-19), Prince (boys ages 6-12), and King (boys ages 13-19)
